1. The scavenger hunt because it was really fun and we all liked it and it was a very interactive activity.
2. Pathergorium Theorom, right triangles, measuring angles.
3. We all feel prepared, we know all the concepts.
4. Awesome, we knew wed like you as a teacher and will miss you… we knew your class was going to be terribly boring and we were going to hate it! (NOT!!! we were kidding we dont want demerits) and your fun activities and ways to test us for our knowledge.

The fun part of this class this year was doing the fun activities like the scavenger hunt, interpol aid activity.
Pathagerium Theorem, Distance and Midpoint formula
Yes, i feel prepared for Algebra next year, i think i have to work on adding and multiplying exponents and variables.
When i came to sixth grade i thought that Math was a piece of cake and i could do Math and leave it behind, but as years passed then i thought that Math was one of the most of the important subject in life. We need it everywhere, and i will never forget what you taught me, Mr Jobe.

The scavenger hunt was our favorite part. 1. Pythagorean theorem 2. Golden Ratio 3. Infinity. We do feel prepared for algebra next year. Math computation and fraction dividing and multiplication. I, Sthefano Araya, though it was very boring, and useless, but now i feel it is very interesting and enjoyful. It was very boring. Now it is very fun and intriguing. It is a puzzle!
Andrea: Before I used to think that math was very boring and easy, but now I think it’s very important to know. This year I learned very important useful things. Mr. Jobe, you were a wonderful teacher this year and we’re going to miss you a lot

I agree with Sam that Mauricio is not explaining things that much

Our favorite was geometry and functions (the girls can cheat, but boys can’t rule).
Three concepts we learned are:
y=mx+b
a2 + b2=c2
c=3.14 x d
Yes, but we have to work more on exponent rules and solving equations with fractions.
Math has become more fun for us. We didn’t like math before, but now it has become more fun. The way you taught us was very good, so don’t leaveeeee.

1. My favorite part of this year was doing the pythagorean theorem. I think that it was a really fun thing to study and I enjoyed it. I also liked the scavenger hunt that we did at the beginning of the year. It was really creative and I liked how we used all of the thing that we were learning to do a scavenger hunt.
2. The Pythagorean Theorem, slopes, ratios, and integers.
3. I do feel ready for next year. I think that the things i may need to work on is, maybe a little integers.
4. I was not here last year, but I had a really good time this year. I really liked you Mr. Jobe and you gave me a good attitude toward math. This was one of the most fun years i have ever had in math, because of all the fun activities like the scavenger hunt and the pi day things. You Mr. Jobe also seemed to make almost all of the classes fun!!! Have a great time in South Korea!!!!!

1. My favorite part about pre-algrebra this year was that I understood easily and when we did the scavenger hunt that we did at the beggining of the year.
2. Pythogorean Thoream, Square Roots, slopes, proportions, and integers.
3. Yes I feel prepared for next year, but the area I think I need most help with is finding slopes.
4. When I first got into your 6th grade honors math I was a bit scared because of my experience with Mr.Pallone we didn’t learn anything, so I thought it would be hard to cath up. But, then I realized you were I really good teacher, the way you teach things I understood, so I learned alot. Also, this year I enjoyed and I think i’m prepared to go to Algebra feeling confident about what I know.

1. My favorite part of pre-algebra this year was I understood the problems and the new lessons we were learning and the scavenger hunt was fun.
2. Pythagorean Theorem, Square Roots, Slopes, midpoint formula and Integers.
3. Yes I feel prepared but i need to work on the finding slopes.
4. Since i came in math in 6th I didn’t really like doing math like it wasn’t my thing and i thought it wouldn’t be fun. But at the end of 6th grade and throughout 7th my opinion changed completely. Math was fun it was entertaining and there is always new things to learn that sometimes are easier to understand then other things. This year I enjoyed the most because there were more projects that you could do that was easier to understand at the end. I learned a lot with you and we are going to miss you Jobe.

I also agree with Kartik, the Interpol aid Activity was really fun also.

1. Our favorite part of this years were the review games (especially the scavenger hunt). We also LOVEEE the way you teach and explain math concepts.
2. The Pythagoream Theory, slope, triangles, solving alegebraic expressions and equations.
3. We feel very prepared. I think what we could work on are the exponent rules complicated problems like the ones we just did.
4. When we entered 6 grade, Arianna didn’t like math, but Flor did. But this class changed a lot our opinion, because we both like math A LOT! Now we think math is very fun and enjoy it. For us, now it is much more than an obligation.
*Mr. Jobe you found a way to make math fun for us. Thank you a lot for helping us practice for the math competition in El Salvador. Thank you for everything! GOOD LUCK IN SOUTH KOREA! We are going to miss uu a lott!

I agree with Ariel how math has become more fun and we started learning more because that’s true since 5th grade we didn’t learn much.

1.1. What was your favorite part about Pre-Algebra this year?
Mari: I think my favorite part was learning new concepts I actually didn’t learn last year because I was in normal math.
Clau:Doing the Recipe for Disaster Project.
2. Name three specific mathematical concepts that you learned this year.
Both: variables, fractions,Pythagorean theorem
3. Do you feel prepared for Algebra next year? What are some areas you may need to work on?
Mari: Sort of, this year’s lessons were a little hard for me but I beleive i might need to practice more the last lessons we learned.
Clau: I kind of do, i need to practice some concepts like surface area and volume.
4. I have had the pleasure of teaching the majority of you for the past two years. What were your general feelings toward math upon entering the 6th grade? How have those feelings changed over the past two years? Write at least three sentences that explain your feelings toward mathematics.
Mari: I like a lot math, specially with such a good teacher! I think my general feelings were nerves of entering into a new grade, new teachers, and new lessons. Those feelings changed when I started learning more and more, and I think I totally understand better math now.
Clau: I love math! There is always one specific answer, it is exact and simple! Well, maybe it is not that simple, but by practicing and working you can become very good at it and have fun (:

I agree with Kartik and Abbey because i thought that math would be really easy to but once i started it begun to become harder. Abbey because its true that you gave many people good attitudes towards math for us to start liking it more.

1. What was your favorite part about Pre-Algebra this year?
- I loved the scavenger hunt, learning about negative exponents, and the geometry section was interesting, too.
2. Name three specific mathematical concepts that you learned this year.
- The Pythagorean Theorum, The Golden Ratio, and how to find the area of various polygons.
3. Do you feel prepared for Algebra next year? What are some areas you may need to work on?
- Yes, I feel that I’d do pretty well if I just kept up to date with all of my assignments. I need to work on responsibility and also, maybe a little bit of cancelling out variables/exponents. I messed up in that a few times.
4. I have had the pleasure of teaching the majority of you for the past two years. What were your general feelings toward math upon entering the 6th grade? How have those feelings changed over the past two years? Write at least three sentences that explain your feelings toward mathematics.
- Well, at the begging of 6th I didn’t like math at all. The previous year I had Ms. Neiman as a teacher, and she wasn’t exactly my favorite. Now, after two years of having a really fun teacher and a great group as a class, I have learned to enjoy math and it has turned into my favorite class.
5. Comment on at least two other student posts.
- Sorry, but I can’t see any of the other posts, I had this page loaded before anyone posted.

We agree with Tina, that fractions were really cool, and slope is a really hard lesson we might need to practice over and over again!
